June 9, 2023

LAGOS NIGERIA— El Prince, an artist from Nigeria known for his distinctive fusion of Afrobeats, R&B, and pop music, recently dropped a new EP called “LA Bachelor.” Six tracks are included on the EP, including the previously released singles Funke, For Love, and Never Leave. The EP is a chronicle of the adventures of a single man yearning for love in the metropolis of Lagos.

El Prince, whose real name is Prince Adieze, grew up in the thriving Ajegunle district of Lagos. His upbringing has had a significant impact on his sound, which he refers to as “Patan na Patan,” an eclectic fusion of musical influences. He has collaborated with a wide range of musicians and producers, including Speroach Beatz, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Masterkraft, and Fresh VDM.

El Prince’s prior EP, “Green Vibe,” demonstrated the breadth and depth of his artistic ability, and with “LA Bachelor,” he keeps expanding the parameters of his music. The EP is a profoundly intimate examination of situations that will speak to both young men and women.

El Prince’s Welcome to Lagos serves as the EP’s peppy start, inviting listeners to take in the city’s bustle. A popular dancehall song called Funke is about a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a special girl, while the dancehall song Hypocrite is about the problem of fake friends. While Never Leave is an Amapiano song about a long-term commitment, Transfer emphasizes the more transactional side of love.

“LA Bachelor” is a testament to El Prince’s talent and passion for his craft, and it is certain to solidify his status as one of the Nigerian music industry’s emerging talents. The EP is currently available on all major streaming services.
