SOFIE RELEASES A FIERY NEW SONG TITLED STARZ

The upbeat Afrobeats song STARZ by Sofie has a fiery and spicy edge. We are invited into a new realm by the groovy blend of Afrobeats and R&B with Sofie’s vocal melodies and the rhythms. We are given ear candy like fresh sounds and harmonies as the song goes on. The path of embracing one’s power, taking initiative, and realizing one’s potential is one that STARZ leads the listener on. In actuality, we are all preselected.
Ghanaian singer, songwriter, and producer Sofie was raised in both Ghana and the UK. She combines West African instruments and rhythms with an international R&B sound that is soulful and driven. During her career, Sofie wants to encourage positive change by using her platform to bring attention to issues that are important to the globe. Two EPs and numerous singles have been released by Sofie during the course of her career. ‘3AM in Labadi’ is Sofie’s most recent album, which was released in June 2023. Highlights of her career include performing on the main stage at the Chalewote festival in Ghana, appearing at the African Diaspora Homecoming Gala night honoring Ghana’s 60th anniversary of independence, participating in a hip-hop group at the Women of Color celebration in Boston and rapping alongside American hip-hop recording artist Yo-Yo, serving as the opening act for the “Afrobeats to the World” Concert at the PlayStation theater in Times Square, New York City, and performing at numerous other venues. In May 2021, Sofie received her degree from the Berklee College of Music.
